Subjects and direct objects
An adjective before a noun needs an ending. After a definite article, nominative singular adjectives take -e. Masculine accusative adjectives take -en. After ein, the adjective supplies an ending that the article does not show.
Der günstige Kredit hat eine kurze Laufzeit.
The inexpensive loan has a short term.
Ein günstiger Kredit ist nicht immer verfügbar.
An inexpensive loan is not always available.
Eva prüft den neuen Finanzplan.
Eva checks the new financial plan.
Sie eröffnet ein neues Konto.
She opens a new account.
Compare der günstige Kredit and ein günstiger Kredit, then den günstigen Kredit and einen günstigen Kredit. Kredit means loan. These are grammar examples, not product recommendations.

Dative descriptions
After definite and indefinite articles in the dative, adjectives take -en: mit dem kleinen Budget, mit einem kleinen Budget. Without an article, the adjective carries the dative ending itself.
Mit dem kleinen Budget plant Eva vorsichtig.
With the small budget, Eva plans cautiously.
Mit einer hohen Gebühr rechnet sie nicht.
She does not expect a high fee.
Mit kleinem Budget bleibt wenig Spielraum.
With a small budget, there is little room to manoeuvre.
Bei hohen Kosten prüft sie jede Ausgabe.
When costs are high, she checks every expense.
Das Budget means budget and die Gebühr fee. Compare mit dem kleinen Budget with mit kleinem Budget. In the second phrase, -em marks neuter dative on the adjective.

Genitive descriptions
In the genitive, adjectives after articles take -en: die Höhe des monatlichen Einkommens. Without an article, feminine and plural genitive adjectives take -er. Masculine and neuter genitive adjectives usually take -en, with the noun marking the case.
Die Höhe des monatlichen Einkommens ist wichtig.
The amount of the monthly income is important.
Wegen hoher Gebühren wechselt Eva das Konto.
Because of high fees, Eva changes accounts.
Die Laufzeit eines kleinen Kredits beträgt ein Jahr.
The term of a small loan is one year.
Trotz regelmäßigen Einkommens spart Eva wenig.
Despite regular income, Eva saves little.
Einkommen means income, Zinsen interest and Laufzeit term. Check the whole phrase, not just the adjective: des monatlichen Einkommens, hoher Gebühren, regelmäßigen Einkommens.
