Innerhalb means within a specified period. In formal writing, it usually takes the genitive: innerhalb eines Monats. These fictional notices concern a pension advice service and a care home, so their deadlines are examples rather than official rules.

Der Rentenantrag is a pension application and das Pflegeheim a care home. Use eines Monats for a masculine singular noun and einer Woche for a feminine one. With a plural that does not mark the genitive, use the dative, as in innerhalb drei Tagen; innerhalb von drei Tagen is also correct.

Use binnen in formal notices
Binnen also means within and often appears in written notices. It can take either the dative or the genitive; the examples here use the dative. Binnen einem Monat and binnen eines Monats are both correct.

Do not confuse a time limit with a duration: binnen drei Tagen means within three days, while drei Tage lang means for three days. Der Rentenbescheid is the written decision on a pension application. These sentences are extracts from fictional correspondence.

Describe developments with im Laufe
Im Laufe means in the course of and takes the genitive. It places an event or development somewhere within a period without specifying an exact date. It suits a progress report as well as an account of a conversation.
Im Laufe des kommenden Jahres erweitert die Gemeinde ihre Beratungsstelle.
In the course of the coming year, the municipality will expand its advice centre.
Im Laufe der nächsten Monate stellt das Pflegeheim neue Pflegekräfte ein.
In the course of the next few months, the care home will hire new care workers.
