Acknowledge the objection
A residents' group debates whether to hold a courtyard concert. Obgleich means although and introduces a concession. You accept a point that might seem to argue against your conclusion, then explain why the conclusion still holds.
Obgleich das Konzert Geld kostet, unterstütze ich den Vorschlag.
Although the concert costs money, I support the proposal.
Ich bleibe dafür, obgleich der Aufwand groß ist.
I remain in favour, although the effort is considerable.
Obgleich einige zweifeln, verdient die Idee eine Prüfung.
Although some have doubts, the idea deserves consideration.
Der Einwand betrifft die Kosten, nicht die Musik.
The objection concerns the costs, not the music.
Obgleich is more formal than obwohl. It introduces a subordinate clause with the conjugated verb at the end. The concession is accepted, not presented as an uncertain condition.

Continue despite that point
Dennoch and gleichwohl mean nevertheless. They connect a new main clause to a point already conceded. Gleichwohl often sounds more formal and is useful in a prepared statement.
Die Vorbereitung kostet Zeit. Dennoch lohnt sich der Versuch.
Preparation takes time. Nevertheless, the attempt is worthwhile.
Der Einwand ist berechtigt. Gleichwohl halte ich an der Idee fest.
The objection is valid. Nevertheless, I stand by the idea.
Der Platz ist klein. Wir können dennoch zwanzig Gäste einladen.
The space is small. We can nevertheless invite twenty guests.
Ich erkenne das Problem an, ziehe aber einen anderen Schluss.
I acknowledge the problem but draw a different conclusion.
Unlike obgleich, these adverbs do not send the verb to the end. Compare Obgleich es teuer ist, lohnt es sich with Es ist teuer. Dennoch lohnt es sich.

A fair reply to a counterargument
A strong reply can acknowledge a practical limit and still defend a smaller version of the plan. Choose the missing forms, then compare the final compromise with the original proposal.
Obgleich die Mittel begrenzt sind, bleibt ein kleiner Auftritt möglich.
Although funds are limited, a small performance remains possible.
Die Nachbarn brauchen Ruhe. Dennoch ist ein früher Termin denkbar.
The neighbours need quiet. Nevertheless, an early time is conceivable.
Das Risiko bleibt. Gleichwohl sprechen gute Gründe für einen Versuch.
The risk remains. Nevertheless, there are good reasons to try.
Ich schlage deshalb ein kurzes Konzert am Nachmittag vor.
I therefore propose a short concert in the afternoon.
Obgleich introduces the conceded point inside a subordinate clause. Dennoch and gleichwohl introduce the contrasting conclusion in a main clause. Conceding a point does not require abandoning the entire proposal.
