anlässlich: on the occasion of
Anlässlich means on the occasion of or to mark. It is a formal preposition used for events, anniversaries and ceremonies, and it takes the genitive: anlässlich der Wahl, anlässlich des Jubiläums. Most masculine and neuter nouns add -s or -es in the singular.
Anlässlich der Wahl gibt es im Rathaus einen Informationsabend.
On the occasion of the election, there is an information evening at the town hall.
Anlässlich des Jubiläums lädt der Gemeinderat alle Bürger ein.
To mark the anniversary, the local council invites all citizens.
Die Bürgermeisterin hielt anlässlich der Eröffnung eine kurze Rede.
The mayor gave a short speech on the occasion of the opening.

bezüglich: regarding
Bezüglich means regarding or concerning. It is common in official letters, emails and reports, and it also takes the genitive: bezüglich des Wahlrechts. Hinsichtlich is a formal synonym that works the same way.

Write about participation
In texts about institutions and participation, these prepositions help you name the occasion or topic at the start of a sentence. After the fronted phrase, the verb comes next. Check the genitive endings of the article, the adjective and the noun.
Anlässlich der Kommunalwahl erklärt die Stadt, wie die Briefwahl funktioniert.
On the occasion of the local election, the town explains how postal voting works.
Bezüglich der Bürgerbeteiligung schlägt der Verein regelmäßige Versammlungen vor.
